David Beckham reportedly considering the role of Jame Bond

David Beckham's fans took to twitter to urge him to go from shirt number 7 to 007 after he recently revealed that he hopes a career on the silver screen is calling.

Having turned his career from footballer to fashion and modelling, reports emerged that the 40-year-old is considering taking the role of Jame Bond.

Fans believes he is the right man to play 007 after announcing that he was prepared to take any criticism for his forthcoming part in Guy Ritchie's Knight Of The Roundtable which will be due next summer.

According to a source who spoke to Daily Star
David has been getting some acting tips for several years from his long time pal, Tom Cruise.
“David has been secretly getting tips from Tom for several years now. “Tom sees David as a very loyal and trusted friend, and is willing to help him fulfill his dreams.
Tom feels that David has a great screen look and charisma which could work for movies. David resisted at first, but over time has become more comfortable with acting.
Tom has been advising him on learning dialogue and the methods of talking to fellow actors. It is baby steps but vital for Becks to get his experience.
Tom has all the perfect ingredients to advise Becks on what it takes to play a secret agent having done the Mission Impossible franchise. His connections to the movie big wigs in Hollywood also aid Becks’ chances."
